Fresh Suet Panda Flour® Mix (600g/1200g)

Our suet flour is a combination of Panda Flour® and Fresh Beef Suet which can be used to create favourites such as dumplings for a winter stew, pastry for steak & kidney puddings, jam roly poly (don’t forget the custard) and steamed puddings.

The suet is sourced from Old Hall Farm near Norwich (https://www.oldhallfarm.co.uk/) who also produce a range of pasture fed meat and raw milk.

These recipes are written specifically using Panda Flour® and Old Hall Farm suet which have been tested multiple times to get the correct balance of additional ingredients (liquids / flavours). Alternative suet could be used however the volume of Panda Flour® / other ingredients may differ. Please be aware that no testing has been done with supermarket suet as this is blended with gluten so we are unable to give any advice on using it.

If you wish to make your own suet flour at home the amounts used are :  

Fresh Old Hall Farm Suet 100g blitzed with 70g Panda Flour.

Using this ratio this mix can be used to create dumplings, pastry and puddings as per these recipes.

Product Details: 

The Panda Suet Flour is made to order using fresh suet and Panda Flour® without the addition of preservatives. Please ensure that once you receive your order, the flour is stored in the freezer. The flour can be used directly from the freezer; there is no need to defrost for any longer than a couple of minutes before use.

Keep the flour well sealed when returning to the freezer to prevent any moisture affecting the flour.
