Ingredients
-
100g Panda Flour®
-
10g Fast Acting Dried Yeast
-
10g Baking Powder (optional, but it helps lift the dough in cooking process)
-
5g Salt
-
320ml Warm Water (40-50°C)
-
30g Melted Ghee (or olive oil, coconut oil, butter)
Directions
If baking, preheat the oven to 220°C.
Combine the dry ingredients, then add the water & melted ghee.
Mix well either by hand or using a stand mixer.
Cover the bowl and allow the dough to rest somewhere warm for at least half an hour to prove a little. This will make the dough easier to handle.
Divide the dough into 6 portions and roll out to around 8” diameter.
To pan fry, use a very hot pan and dry fry the flatbreads for 60 - 90 seconds on each side (or until it’s the correct amount of ‘charred’ for you).
If baking, place the flatbreads on sheets of greaseproof baking paper and bake for 15 minutes, flipping them over half way through.
Allow them to cool a little and for the dough to firm up.
